Description

This artefact is based on the line graph that conveys the connection between cigarette consumption and lung cancer. The subject matter is a damaged lung caused by smoking. At first, a Chinese traditional paper was dyed with red coloured paints. The patterns of a blood vessel have naturally been created after the process of kneading and unfolding the moisturized paper several times. The figure of death from lung cancer is expressed by the size of the holes on the lung. The fluctuation of the cigarette consumption in the line graph is expressed by the circle of the wire. When you only focus on the top of the circles, you can see that it has ups and downs.

The more you smoke,
the more holes you get.
